Seeing Sly, Carmelita soon suspected he was behind her capture. As Sly tried to explain how he was trying to rescue her, the chamber then filled with deadly gas, making Sly fall unconscious. Clockwerk then appeared on the chamber's screens, laughing and mocking Sly for his sentimental feelings for Carmelita and stating that empathy has always been the downfall of the [[Cooper Clan]]. Bentley had to act quickly by doing some fast and furious hacking in order to prevent the gas from killing Sly and Carmelita.
