We decided the first order of business was figuring out where and when we were, and then how we were going to repair the van. Otherwise, we'd have to get used to living in a cave, permanently.
― Sly, from the episode's introduction[src]
"Clan of the Cave Raccoon" is the third episode in Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time. It takes place in Gungathal Valley in the year 10,000 BC and features Bob Cooper as Sly's ancestor. The villain for the episode is a black bear named Grizz.
Things were not going so well for the Cooper Gang. The crash had damaged the van and the time machine was not working properly. A really scary thought was that they had no idea how Le Paradox managed to develop his own time machine. They needed to figure out a way to solve these issues, or they would have to get used to permanently living in a cave.
After freeing Bob, Sly brought him back to the safe house, where he took an immediate liking to Bentley's gadgets. He then explained how Grizz stole all of his eggs. Bob eventually became depressed and fell into a slump. He also gotten out of shape, allowing Grizz to capture him and also steal his cane. The gang needed to figure out what type of operation Grizz was running for Le Paradox, and why it involved stealing all of the eggs.

After Grizz was defeated, the gang was able to repair the damage to the time machine and the van. Carmelita was still hot about things, but she realized that helping the gang would be her only chance at stopping Le Paradox.
Also, they were finally able to contact Dimitri on the transceiver. He pointed them to their next destination, Medieval England. It turned out that Grizz's crown was the perfect object for helping them get there. Despite the gang encountering this ice age scheme by accident, luck was definitely by their side. The gang traveled through time to medieval England, ready to tackle anything fate had in store for them.
