I just want to say I knew you was a Cooper the second I laid eyes on you.
― "Tennessee Kid" Cooper to Sly after they successfully escape from the prison[src]
"Jailhouse Blues" is a job for Bentley and Sly Cooper in "Go West Young Raccoon" of Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time.
Background[]
Sly gets thrown in jail and meets "Tennessee Kid" Cooper. Bentley comes up with a plan to get them out.
Synopsis[]
With Sly in jail, Bentley goes out for reconnaissance to find a way to break him out. He takes three pictures of the prison where Sly is being held:
- Prison tower – The location where Sly was taken after his arrest
- Arsenal – A pile of TNT located on one side of the prison
- Rear wall – A boarded-up hole on the rear wall of the prison
At the prison, Sly is escorted to his cell by a couple bull guards. Upon arriving, he greets his cellmate ancestor "Tennessee Kid" Cooper. Tennessee is surprised to see somebody else in his cell, and assumes that he must have made Toothpick quite angry to have been thrown in there. When he asks his new cellmate his name, Sly responds by giving his full name. Tennessee is angry at Sly as he believes Sly was "funnin'" on his family name by claiming he is a Cooper. Sly swears that he is not joking about his name, but Tennessee says that he will only believe him if he breaks them out of their cell.
Just then, Bentley radios Sly and tells him that the large iron ball attached to his Jailbird Costume will be able to break the prison cell's walls with ease. Sly tries it out, and creates a giant hole in the tower, which he escapes through. He then uses the ball to break down the cell's door for Tennessee to escape. Sly utilizes the costume to move various cell blocks to create paths. Afterwards, he and Tennessee came to the arsenal of TNT Bentley have photographs during his reconnaissance. Per the turtle's orders, Tennessee carries a barrel of the explosive while Sly continues making a path through the prison. After making their way through flames and floor lasers, the duo reach the rear wall of the prison. Tennessee places the TNT barrel next to the boarded-up hole and lights the fuse. Once it explodes and created an exit, the two Coopers escaped via Sly's paraglider.
