This page is about the job-specific loot introduced in Sly 2: Band of Thieves. For the reward in Sly Cooper and the Thievius Raccoonus, see treasure key.

Keys are a piece of job-specific loot that the gang can pickpocket from guards. They are used to unlock various padlocks, doors and other items.

Keys were introduced in Sly 2: Band of Thieves and made a return in both Sly 3: Honor Among Thieves and Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time.

This is a list of the jobs keys are used in, and how many of them are used in each.

Sly 2: Band of ThievesEdit

Sly 3: Honor Among ThievesEdit

Sly Cooper: Thieves in TimeEdit

  • In Sly 2, if you kill a guard carrying a key, you will fail the job. The message says, "A guard carrying a key was killed!"
  • In Sly 3, if you kill a guard with a key, or are detected by them, you will fail the job as well. The messages say,
    • "You can not let the guards with the keys detect you!"
    • "You can not kill one of the guards with the key you need!"
