Loot are collectible items that can be pickpocketed off guards and sold for varying amounts of coins. They were introduced in Sly 2: Band of Thieves and reappear in both Sly 3: Honor Among Thieves and Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time.
Loot are distinct from treasures in that they are commonly-found items of lesser value.[note 1]
Sly 2: Band of Thieves[]
In Sly 2, Sly Cooper can obtain loot by pickpocketing guards who are carrying a loot item, indicated by a glow in their pocket. Stolen items can be sold on ThiefNet (at the safe house) for coins to purchase power-ups.

Sly 3: Honor Among Thieves[]
In Sly 3, loot is sold immediately upon possession. An additional method of obtaining loot exists in the capture of pirate ships in episode 5. Bentley and Murray now have the ability to pickpocket loot as well (though in Murray's case he uses his strength to mug them by shaking them above his head). With the exception of the combs, all items from the previous game return and have had their values increased by ten coins.
