  • Love having discussions about the Sly Cooper universe, but your page "I figured out Sly's father's name..." belongs more on a blog post or forum thread, rather than being a page on the wiki. Click here to create that blog page, or click here and fill in the boxes to create a forum thread.

I have deleted the page, so you can find your text below.

    Slys father

    His father

It took forever, but I finally figured it out

    Where I got the info.

It all comes down to the first game with hints from the third.

    It all came together when...

I was playing Sly 1 on the new vita collection when I got the page with Bruce-O-Coop's hacking technique.  Then it hit me, there is only one Cooper who existed at the right time to develop such skills.  The main clue is that the ability to hack a computer only became a thing around the 80s, this means that such a cooper would have had to be born in the 60s or 70s.  We all know that the first game is set in the early 2000s, this, and our knowledge of sly places him at about his mid twenties then.  This means the it was about 1993 when his parents were murdered.  His father, at this point, would be in his mid thirties.  This means he was born somewhere in the mid 50s to mid 60s.  This would mark him as the most technological cooper because, even if Bruce-O-Coop was his dad, he would have likely been in his 70s or 80s during the age of computers.  Way too late to become an expert.

In conclusion, all the evidence fits.  The times, the tech, the methods, and common sense all point to one thing.  Bruce-O-Coop is Sly's father.  I know this may seem strange, and I expect, or rather would like, some conjecture.  Please comment.
