I am still looking for evidence on the location of Sly's birth. Before the attack on the Cooper home, i understand that it's still unknown but i am still searching for clues on that. If you have any other information that i may not know, can you please reply?
I remember thinking about that once, because it makes sense that if the main job pages are a synopsis for the story events that take place in that mission, then where would a reader get the info about what happens in cutscenes or whatever.
Since we have "background" sections, I think it should be fine to have an aftermath section describing anything that happens up to the next episode.
This would definitely be a good idea. Speaking of which, Thieves in Time episodes has cinematics in between missions as well, so many pages would benefit from having an additional section describing following events, being labeled as Aftermath or something else, perhaps the name of the cutscene.
I think aftermath is a good name for the section. "Background" for stuff beforehand, somewhat explaining the purpose of the job (the gang has to do this, because of this) and then "Aftermath explaining what happens following, but doesn't take place within another job.
Something I want to touch upon. So, the Style Guide states that all in-universe articles are to be in past tense, and present tense is for out-of-universe articles, but I noticed there are many inconsistancies with this between several pages on the wiki (specifically - jobs, power-ups, loot/treasures).
I already know we use past tense to describe past events and deceased characters, and present tense for currently existing locations and alive characters, but I would like further clarification as to how this applies to missions, power-ups and loot/treasures as well. I'd really appreciate it!
Jobs should be written in past tense (like a story, sort of), treasure and loot should be past tense in describing what episode, etc. (the whateverwas a treasure in episode...), but descriptions of treasures can be done present tense (it is a purple...). Since with the location of the treasure we're trying to guide the reader, that should be done like the walkthroughs, so use that sort of language. Power-ups should be done in present tense, excepting any history, which should be past tense, so explaining the inventor of the power-up, etc.
Hopefully that makes sense, I'm pretty tired haha.
First and foremost, this behavior is not ok. Repeatedly asking for favors while offering very little of your own contributions is not only annoying, but also extremely impolite. As you may have noticed, the script pages are freely editable by anyone, meaning that anyone, including you, can contribute to those pages. Instead of constantly relying and insisting on others to complete the work, I highly suggest that you help to contribute to these pages. It can be something simple such as watching the desired episode on YouTube and noting the dialogue that is spoken in that video. Any contributions are welcome, but persistent messages like these are not. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8.
Please cease this kind of behavior immediately. The script pages will be done when they're done, and they'll only be done faster if you help contribute instead of constantly asking others to do it for you. If you need help figuring out how to edit an article, there's a wonderful tutorial here.
To add to what Shrev said above, script pages are very very time consuming and often take months to complete. I've been working single-handedly on the Ratchet & Clank scripts for the Ratchet Wiki and they've taken four months to complete. It's extremely easy to tell someone else to do the work without trying it on your own and even then it takes more time to do the work efficiently for proper sourcing for other articles.
Thank you for your interest in the Ratchet and Sly Wikis, however, having a bit of patience would certainly do you some good.
Yeah... and just so you know, Episodes 5 and 6 have already been fully completed.
And to answer your question about the level images, I'm currently in the process of providing images and/or galleries for all of the job pages for each game, but it will take a long time.
Can you complete Sly 3's episode 3, and can you finish Hidden Flight Roster, Cooper Hangar Defense, ACES Semifinals, Giant Wolf Massacre, Beauty and the Beast and OP: Turbo Dominant Eagle? And can you complete Sly 3's episode 4 to finish off Battery of Peril and OP: Wedding Crasher? Then complete the last of the bits of Sly 3, okay?
Your enthusiasm is quite something. If you want to see them completed, you could always do them yourself. It would be greatly appreciated.
Like I said previously, real life gets in the way a lot and I don't have as much time to do wiki things as I used to. I have a job and other engagements. If I were to do it, it would have to be on a day where I don't work, and that day would also need to be free of other more important things. I don't know when that will happen.
Yeah, it'll all get done eventually, don't worry. Just try to be patient. After all, this is a collaborative effort; so it won't be just me trying to fill out the scripts. Work as big as this takes a lot of time... but it will get done.
Are you ready to complete Sly 3's episode 3, and can you finish Hidden Flight Roster, Cooper Hangar Defense, ACES Semifinals, Giant Wolf Massacre, Beauty and the Beast and OP: Turbo Dominant Eagle? And can you complete Sly 3's episode 4 to finish off Battery of Peril and OP: Wedding Crasher? Can you complete the last of the bits of Sly 3, okay?
As for how to get images, usually it's through capturing footage directly from the console. However, it can also be done by taking a screencap of a YouTube video. I personally dig around on YouTube for what I want, and when I find it, I use the website http://youtubescreenshot.com and get the images that way.
Thank you. One more thing: when uploading an image from a YouTube screenshot, would the screenshot fall under fair use, a screenshot from a game, or something else? In case I would need to provide copyright.
