Synopsis[edit | edit source]
Sly made his way to Grizz's mountain base and opened up the entrance. The Cooper Gang, Bob, and Carmelita stowed away in giant lifts to get inside. Once inside, Bentley had to make his way through the factory and disable the egg vats using his explosive darts, allowing the gang to stop production of the paint. Next, Bob had to climb the main generator tower and pry its pressure valves open; this would disrupt the factory's power. After he pried the last valve, Murray, Bentley, and Carmelita came in their egg lift to pick Bob up from the side of the tower. Bob had to jump in order to reach the lift, but failed the jump. Just as he was about to fall, Murray saved Bob by pulling him into the lift, but ended up falling into a separate lift. This forced Sly to cover Murray's role of getting to the master control panel and making sure none of Grizz's guards reset the system. If it were to reset, the mission would be a failure and the gang would be sitting ducks. Sly managed to reach the control panel and took out a mammoth guard out before he could reset the system. While still on the cart, Murray then spotted Grizz in his personal hideout and jumped down to confront him.
The rest of the gang showed up behind a glass wall and saw Murray with the Grizz. Carmelita and Bob were concerned, but Bentley and Sly had complete confidence that Murray could handle him. Murray engaged in an ice-skating battle with the Grizz inside a large ice rink, with the rest of the gang standing behind a glass wall watching the action and cheering him on. The Grizz may have been a pro at ice skating, but this did not stop "The Murray" from giving the bear an old fashioned beat down. Using his almighty strength, he grabbed the Grizz, twirled him around and tossed him into the glass wall the other members were standing behind, and received compliments from his teammates for his outstanding performance. With that done, Murray regained his confidence and was once again his usual self.
Trivia[edit | edit source]
- This was the fifth time Murray fought a boss. The other times were Rajan in Sly 2: Band of Thieves, Octavio and Muggshot in Sly 3: Honor Among Thieves and Wildman Weezner, which was earlier in Thieves in Time.
- Since Murray is the fighter in the battle, this is the only main boss battle in Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time prior to the epilogue that does not require the use of the costume obtained in the episode it occurs in.
