The RC chopper was a gadget used by Bentley in Sly 2: Band of Thieves and Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time, and by Penelope in Sly 3: Honor Among Thieves.
Description[]
Bentley's chopper[]
Bentley's RC chopper was green and had large glasses on the front. It was controlled by a remote controller. The chopper contained bombs and also included a turret. Bentley first used it in Rajan's palace during "RC Bombing Run," when he had to bomb a security truck, then used it again during "Clear the Way for Murray" to defend Murray from Rajan's guards while he carried the Clockwerk wings to the Cooper Van. He used it in Prague to eliminate the motion detectors around the prison wall so that Sly could escape from jail. He then used it in Canada in order to wipe out the security systems on the Iron Horse 2 train, which held one of the Clockwerk lungs. He then used the chopper one last time to battle Neyla twice above the Iron Horse 3 before destroying it by throwing it down the train's smokestack in order to free the Clockwerk stomach.
In Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time, Bentley had a new chopper, which was used only once. It only dropped smoke bombs that affected a sizable area. This chopper did not have a turret like the old one, but it did include a thruster which gave it an extra boost of speed. During the mission "Up in Smoke," the smoke from the bombs covered Sly and his ancestor, Salim al-Kupar, as they sneaked through specific areas in the Arabian city to reach one of the missing members of the Forty Thieves.
Penelope's chopper[]
Penelope also used an RC chopper both before and after she joined the Cooper Gang. This chopper had a light pinkish color. She used it in Kinderdijk to defend the Cooper air hangar from Muggshot's bribed guards, and in China to protect Murray from the guards while he tried to save the team van. The chopper ran out of fuel while protecting Murray, and for the rest of the game, Penelope relied on her trusty RC car. However, it's possible she refueled the chopper, because she used it in Kaine Island to get rid of some guards. This chopper had a grappling hook called the Yank 86 that could be used to grapple guards and throw them in the air, allowing them to fall back down to their deaths.
