Outstanding! Another page from the Thievius Raccoonus! This one features Dev Cooperinda's Slow Motion Jump. He used this to get by all kinds of airborne threats. Hit the while in the air, to slow down time!
― Bentley[src]
Slow, also called Slow Motion Jump and Perpetual Slow Motion, is a power-up in Sly Cooper and the Thievius Raccoonus. Slow Motion Jump, invented by Dev Cooperinda, can be collected from the third vault (not including blueprints), and Perpetual Slow Motion, invented by Matthew de la Coopeur, can be collected from the twelfth vault, not including blueprints.
Similar abilities have appeared in all following games. Thief Reflexes can be purchased from ThiefNet in Sly 2: Band of Thieves and Sly 3: Honor Among Thieves, and the Thief Costume gives Sly Cooper slow motion abilities in Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time. Bentley speculates, after Sly receives it, that the Thief Costume may have been the inspiration for Perpetual Slow Motion.[1]
Usage[]
While both versions of the power-up are referred to as "Slow" in-game, they have separate uses. Slow Motion Jump is activated by pressing while in the air. As long as Sly does not touch the ground, time will remain slowed. While using Perpetual Slow Motion, must be held down. If it is released, time will return to normal speed.
If Perpetual Slow Motion is being used, and when the player jumps into the air and releases , Slow Motion Jump will be activated, and time will remain slowed until Sly touches the ground.
