Listen, Raleigh. Wipe out my family and steal what's mine, you better expect company.
― Sly to Raleigh[src]

"The Eye of the Storm" was the final job in "Tide of Terror" of Sly Cooper and the Thievius Raccoonus. It was the very first boss battle introduced in the Sly Cooper series, with Sir Raleigh as the boss.

Synopsis

After unlocking the cannon, Sly hopped inside and blasted his way up to the storm machine and confronted Raleigh, who claimed he was going to squash Sly like a bug. With Sly determined to reclaim what was rightfully his, he engaged in a fight with the sinister frog.

The battle began with Raleigh swallowing a bumblebee to bloat to gigantic size. He bounced around the arena in an attempt to squash Sly, but the raccoon dodged all of his attacks, landing a few blows on him. When Raleigh got down to his last bit of health, Raleigh spun around in a circle with his tongue outstretched, trying to knock Sly into the water, but Sly was able to overcome the frog and land a final blow that sent Raleigh into the water. Before drowning, Raleigh mentioned that Sly would be no match for Muggshot, a cohort of his in Mesa City, Utah.

Sly reclaiming Raleigh's pages

After Raleigh's defeat, Sly reclaimed his page from the Thievius Raccoonus, which provided details on how to perform the Ninja Spire Jump, a move perfected by Sly's ninja ancestor Rioichi Cooper, who developed the technique while sneaking through the thickly fortified temples of Feudal Japan.

Due to Carmelita's unexpected arrival, Sly had difficulty escaping Raleigh's ship. Though she was not able to bust Sly due to her late arrival, she busted Raleigh and his crew. With the storm machine out of commission, the waters were once again safe for sailing, and the mystery of the Welsh Triangle faded from memory.

With their success of taking down Raleigh, the gang decided to take some time off and enjoy the pleasant weather in England, where Sly took the opportunity to do some stealing in his spare time. They then returned home to plan their next trip.
