Vultures were enemies that Sly Cooper and the gang encountered in Prague. They were purple vultures. They served as flashlight guards, and The Contessa's main security force, guarding both her rehabilitation prison and castle.
Description[]
Seeing as they were incapable of holding a light or a weapon, they had torches hanging around their necks and a crossbow in their right claw. If they spotted intruders, they would immediately attack. At closer ranges, they would use their large wings to swat away nearby opponents, causing severe damage with this surprisingly swift attack. Sly could defeat them with four hits. There is a variant of the vulture guard called the Shadow Guard.

Trivia[]
- They are seen holding their crossbows in their wings during the getaway of "The Predator Awakes."
- The vultures resemble one of the birds standing next to Arpeggio in the setup cutscene of "Anatomy for Disaster."
- Strangely, despite the vultures being armed with crossbows, their projectiles are shown to be red bullets than arrows, while the arrows firing sound more like gunshots.
- Their sound effects are reused in Sly 3 by General Tsao from when he is hit.
- They, along with the kangaroo guards from "Rumble Down Under" are the two guards in the series to have sound effects reused by Tsao.
